Muncie
Overdrives?
|
|
A
number of customers have asked whether we can build Muncie "in
case" overdrive gearsets like those they have seen in Ford
Top-Loaders and Chrysler A833s. While the existing case limits our
ratio opportunities, we can build a gearset with approximately the
following ratios: 2.20/1.35/1.00/0.87.
If
there is interest in this set (a new cluster, new 2nd and new 3rd
at about $500) we'll go ahead. Let us know.

This
Isn't for Everyone
|
| Not
everyone is in a position to campaign a vintage Corvette or GTO, but
if you're one of those fortunate few we have a Special M22 Gearset
in the pipeline that might make your car just a bit more competitive.
Our new M22X combines the traditional M22 geometry with a superclose
1.506 2nd and 1.174 3rd ratio spread -- just the thing when you're
running with Cobras!
There
will probably be only one short run of this ratio. Contact us
to find out more and reserve your copy!

SuperPlate
For Muncie Transmissions
|
|
Designing
in aluminum is a tricky business: you must know and control your
loads to compensate for the softness of the material. Sometimes,
plain and simple, its the wrong material to use.
Heavily loaded transmission midplates, for example, should probably
be made from something else. We are pleased to announce that our
new SuperPlate for the Muncie transmission will be cast in 65-45-12
ductile iron. We can't say you won't be able to spread the snapring
groove, but we think you'll need quite a few more horses to do it.
Initial production should be in our hands mid-May. Call to reserve
yours now!
